Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Valentine's Card - simple cardmaking

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and I've been making a few projects to mark the occasion.  This one is really simple to make and doesn't use hearts traditionally used for Valentine's Day.

Click here to see the video tutorial on how to make this pretty card or follow the instructions below:

Take a piece of whisper white card measuring 8.25" x 5.75" and score on the long side at 4 1/8".  This is your card base and you will be creating a landscape card.

I've used the All My Love DSP and used both sides of one sheet (this is a great scrapbusting project)

Take one side of the DSP and cut 3 squares and a rectangle.  The squares are 1.75" and the rectangle is 3.25" x 1.25"

You'll then need three more squares and you'll use the other side of the DSP.  The squares are 1 5/8".

Stick the three bigger squares to the card using Mini Stampin' Diminsionals and space them evenly.  Again, using Mini Stampin' Diminsionals, stick the smaller squares to the larger squares ensuring they are placed centrally.

Take a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 1" x 3" and stamp a sentiment of your choice onto it.  I used 'I'll Love You Until the Day After Forever' from the Forever Lovely stamp set and I stamped this in Lovely Lipstick ink.

I stuck the rectangles to the card in the same way as the squares and finished them off with a couple of rhinestones.

A pretty card with a lovely sentiment.

Hope you enjoy and that it gives you the inspiration to make your own Valentine's Card.

See you soon
Donna 😊
