Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Simple Gift Boxes for Any Occasion

For today's share it on a Sunday the theme is gift boxes and I'm using two designer series paper collections from the July to December mini catalogue to create these two boxes

For the blue and white box I've used a piece of basic white card stock measuring 7½" x 6½" and score on all four sides at 1½"

Fold and burnish your score lines and cut into the squares to form tabs as shown in the photograph

Put some glue on the tabs on the outside of the card and and fold these behind the large rectangles to form your box

Cut another piece of basic white cardstock 7" by 6" and score at just under 1¼" on all four sides

To help you with this step line your card up at 1¼" then move the card ⅟16" to the right.

Fold and burnish your score lines and cut exactly the same way as your base glue the tabs and stick them to the inside of the lid

I've used Harvest Meadow designer series paper and cut pieces as follows:
4⅜" x 1⅛"
1⅜" x 1⅛" (2 of these)
4⅜" x 1⅛" (2 of these)

I've stuck these to all four sides and top of the box.

I've used a piece of DSP from the Blackberry Beauty for the lid of my other box.  The base and lids are the same size and I've scored and cut in exactly the same way as the other box.

For this box, I've used a piece of gold shimmer ribbon for an extra piece of decoration.
