I wanted to make a Get Well Soon card but I wanted to avoid the usual flowers and generic themes that are associated with this type of card. Pinterest is my go to app when I'm looking for inspiration and I came across a post from Lori Whitlock. This card was such a lot of fun that I had to have a go at making it.
I made a video tutorial for this project from which you'll see this is really easy to put together and is a great scrapbusting project.
These are the materials I used:
Whisper White Cardstock: 8.25" x 5 7/8"
Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4" x 5.75"
Scraps of Mint Macaron Cardstock for stamping
Assorted Gingham DSP: 1" x 3" and 1" x 1" - 3 of each colour and all corners rounded
All DSP and cardstock was glued using Tombow
I used the Well Said stamp set for my sentiment and memento black ink to stamp my sentiments
Finally, I used mini stamping dimensionals to stick the plaster cushion to the plaster.
I think this is a great project for children to make as there are no intricate folds or complicated measurements. You don't even need to round the corners if you don't want to.
I've left links to all the products I've used below and when ordering, don't forget to quote the Hostess Code so I can send you a few small samples as a thank you for ordering.
See you soon
