Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

How to Make a Hexagonal Shaped Gift Box

My daughter has recently moved out and her sister has swiftly moved into her bedroom.  While we were clearing out, I found a little trio of body sprays that one of them had been gifted for a birthday or Christmas and I 'borrowed' one to make a little gift box.  I've wanted to try and make a hexagonal box for a long time so now was my chance.  I adapted my measurements to fit the spray and this is what I come up with

I filmed a tutorial too

Here are the dimensions of the card and designer series paper

Cardstock:  6½" x 6" - score on the long side at 1", 2", 3", 4", 5" and 6".  Make a small mark at ½", 1½", 2½", 3½", 4½" and 5½"

Turn the card 90° and score at 1" and 5"

I've used the Best Dressed DSP for both the backing and the main part of each panel.  Each of the background pieces (6 of them) measure ⅞" x 3⅞" and the main panel pieces measure ¾" x 3¾" (watch your direction of the paper when cutting it out)

I used some scraps of whisper white and pretty peacock foil to make the sentiment and I stamped 'Thank You' and the flowers from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set (free when you spend £45 or more)

Follow the video to see how the box is put together and I hope you have a go yourself at making one.

I'll be back again with day 21 of the #31dayscraftchallenge - we're almost there!!
