Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Peaceful Poppies Blog Hop

Hello everyone and this blog post is serving two purposes.  Firstly, I'm taking part in the Pootles Blog Hop and secondly, this is day 11 of the #31dayscraftchallenge where I'm aiming to make one craft item every day in January.  Its really helped my crafty mojo!!

So here's the project:

There is some basic layering in this card and you can choose whatever colour way you like.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and used blue with red.  The dimensions of the card and DSP are as follows:

Whisper White cardstock: 8¼" x 5⅞" scored on the long side at 4⅛" to form your card base
Poppy Parade cardstock: 5¾" x 4" - glue this centrally to the card base to give a white border
Whisper White cardstock: 5⅝" x 2⅛" with two opposite corners rounded
Peaceful Poppies DSP: 5½" x 2" with the same opposite corners rounded.

I used scraps of basic black and whisper white cardstock to make two circles: black 2" and white 1¾" and I used the 'It's Your Day' sentiment from the 'A Good Man' stamp set.

I hope you like this project - its designed for the beginner crafter but its a quick quick project if you need to make a card for a last minute birthday.

Please visit the other blogs in the hop and the details for all the materials I've used are in links at the bottom of the blog.

Thanks for visiting
