Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

New Craft Room New Project

I've had to put my crafting on hold for a few days as I've been moving my craft space to a different room.  I cleared out my son's old bedroom, repainted it and put my furniture in there.  It looks lovely and a great project to do while I've been on Easter holidays.  I go back to work on Monday, and as we're still on lockdown, I'll be using this room as my office where I'll be teaching my student remotely.

So, the first project I'm making in my new craft space is this:

I've been wanting to do more embossing and stamping and for this project I've used the Beauty Abounds stamp set for the stamping, Pinewood Plank 3D embossing folder and Beautiful Bouquet stamp for the sentiment.  The links for all the products I used are listed at the end of this blog post.

Firstly, I started with a piece of white card measuring 5⅞" x 8¼" scored on the long side at 4⅛"

I took some Sea Side Spray card measuring 5¾" x 4" and put this through the Big Shot in the Pinewood Plank 3D embossing folder

This is the first time I've used this Embossing Folder and I love the effect it gives.  I cut out another piece of white card measuring 4" x 2" and stamped this using the Beauty Abounds stamp.  I stamped the larger 'bubbles' in Balmy Blue and the smaller bubbles in Highland Heather.

I layered this piece of card on the embossed card

Finally, I punched two hearts using the Heart Duo Punch - the scalloped heart in white and the plain heart in Sea Side Spay.  I stamped this with a sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  I layered these with mini dimensionals.

I'm hoping to do a lot more stamping, embossing and die cutting now that my Big Shot is set up next to my desk.  Watch this space ....

I'll be back again soon with another project - see you then.
