Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Simple Cardmaking with Flowers for Every Season - A Pootlers Team Blog Hop

Its a blog hop day today and I'm taking part in the Pootlers Team Blog Hop.  My name's Donna and I like to make simple projects for the beginner crafter.  Please be sure to visit the other participants in the hop and see the lovely creations they have made.

For today, I have made a card using the Flowers for Every Season DSP.  The colours are so vibrant and pretty and all of our new In Colours are featured in the collection.

I started off with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 5⅞" x 8¼" and scored this down the long side at 4⅛".  This give you your card base.

Next, I took a layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock measuring 5¾" x 4" and stuck this to my cardbase.

Out of one sheet of 6" x 6" DSP in Flowers for Every Season, I cut out the following squares and the designs are from both sides of the DSP

4 pieces measuring 1½" x 1½"
4 pieces meausring 1⅜" x 1⅜"
2 pieces measuring 4" x ½"
1 piece measuring 3" x 1"

I then cut a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 2⅞" x ⅞"

I arranged them as per the photo.  Get your layout right first before you stick them down and mark where you're going to put your horizontal strips then stick them down.

I used the sentiment from Tasteful Touches stamp set.

Simple layering can provide a good basis for any cardmaking basis and I hope this give you some inspiration to have a go yourself.
