Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Ink Stamp Share New Year's Eve Blog Hop - Ice Cream Corner Triptych Card

Hello, there.  My name is Donna Lester and I'm an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  Today is the New Year's Eve Ink Stamp Share showcase blog hop and myself and a bunch of other talented papercrafters are showing off some of the new papers that are being released in early January.

I'm using the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper and I've created a triptych card.  That is, I've taken a piece of DSP and cut it into 3 equal sections and backed each of these with another layer.

My card base is 6" x 4⅛" and is in Whisper White.

I've taken a piece of the ice cream design paper measuring 3⅞" x 6" and cut this into 3 strips 1¾" wide (there will be a piece left over)

The back of this paper has a 'sprinkles' design and I've cut this 4" x 6" and cut this into 3 strips 1⅛" wide (again, there will be a bit left over)

I layered the smaller pieces onto the bigger pieces and laid them out on my card.

From the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set I stamped in Memento ink 'Time to Celebrate' twice onto white card.  I trimmed round each of the sentiments and cut two pieces of Blackberry bliss just slightly bigger than the white pieces.  I arranged these on the card using mini stampin' dimensionals.

When you're using beautiful paper, complicated techniques just aren't necessary.

I'll leave links to all the products I've used just as soon as they are available on 5th January but in the meantime, come and check out the rest of the bloggers in the hop.  Next up is Susan Simpson - just click NEXT
