Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Dandy Garden Treat Box

Hello everyone - I'm playing with brand new product today and I've created a little treat box

This box measures 4" high by 2¾" wide by 1" deep.  You could definitely get a few sweet treats in there.

I'm using the Dandy Garden designer series paper and I've chosen a sheet that has dandelion leaves and flowers on it with blue, greens and yellows.

I've started with a piece of Bumblebee cardstock measuring 8" x 6½".  On the long side I've scored at 2¾", 3¾", 6½" and 7½"

On the short side I've scored at 1" and 5"

Fold and burnish all of your score lines and then cut away pieces as follows

I rounded the corners for the flap at the top and for the bottom I cut the score lines up to the first score line.

I cut 3 pieces of DSP - 2 measure 3¾" by 2½" and the other measures 2½" x 1¼" (watch the direction for this piece)

Form your box by running adhesive (I recommend Tear n Tape) along the tab (left hand side of photo above and stick this to the inside of the opposite end.  Fold in the bottom flaps and stick these together.

To form the top, pinch just the top of the box together like this:

Don't pinch all the way down - just at the top.

Next, punch out two circles: one in Night of Navy at 2¼" and the other in Bumblebee at 2".  I've stamped the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from Zany Zebras in Misty Moonlight ink

I attached the circles together with  mini stampin' dimensionals and stuck this to the flap of the box.  I've then run some Misty Moonlight ribbon behind the label and tie it at the top.  If you're better at bows than me, you might like to tie it with a bow rather than a knot!
