Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop - A Masculine Themed Pop Up Card

Hello, and thank you for dropping by which is possibly from Karen at CraftyKarenDesigns if you're following our blog hop today.  My name is Donna Lester and I go by the name of Taffy Crafting.  Today I'm bringiing you a masculine themed card for my Showcase Project.  Another one of my crafting friends, Flutterby Heidi has inspired me to make this fun fold springy card and I'm using the Well Suited DSP to create it

I've used a piece of basic white card measuring 11" x 5½" and scored on the long side at 5½" and 8¼".  The lines on the photo show you where the score lines need to go

I folded the score lines as follows:

Before I completed the construction of the card, I stuck layers of DSP onto the cardstock.  The large square needs two pieces of layered DSP one measuring 3¾" x 3¾" and the other is 3½"  x 3½"

You'll need four more squares of DSP - 2 of these measuring 2⅝" x 2⅝" and the other 2⅜" x 2⅜" and all four squares are sliced on the diagonal and layered as shown in the photograph

The blue rectangle measures 2½" x 5¼".

I used the Layering Rectangle Dies to create my sentiment and I used the A Great Guy stamp set and Night of Navy ink.  I layered this up with mini stampin' dimensionals to create dimension to the card.

You need to glue down the point so that it stays in place.  I've placed a mini stampin' dimensional to the middle point where the folds intersect.

Here's the card from the side

When I first saw this card, I thought it would be really difficult to do but its simpler than it looks and I think it really shows off this gorgeous paper.
