Crafty Collaborators Using Punch Art for Cardmaking

Hello and today I'm using a punch to create a card but what's different about this particular project is that I'm using the punch to create something other than what the punch was intended for. This project is for the Craft Collaborators Technique Tuesday blog hop. I'll leave a link to the participants in the hop so you can visit the other crafters

Here's my card

My card base measures 11½" x 4⅛" scored on the long side at 5¾"

Using the Pretty Flowers Embossing folder, I've embossed a piece of Just Jade cardstock measuring 5½" x 3⅞" and stuck this to my white card base

Using the Double Oval punch and basic white cardstock, I punched out 8 white ovals

Then with a scrap piece of Bumblebee cardstock, I die cut a circle using the Layering Circle dies and embossed this with the Hammered Metal embossing folder

I gently curled each of the ovals on one half leaving a flat half and a curled half (I used the edge of my bone folder to curl the ovals)

I glued four of them down like this

And glued the other four like this

I glued the Bumblebee circle onto the flower like this

I punched out the scalloped oval in Basic White and the smaller oval in Just Jade and stamped 'Best Wishes' from Artistically Inked stamp set in Evening Evergreen. I finished the sentiment with some rhinestones.

Inside the card I stamped the daisy from Daisy Lane stamp set in Bumblebee ink and stamped 'Happy Birthday' from Artistically Inked.
