Simply Elegant Card for A Good Man

 

Hello and thank you for dropping by - you may have landed on my blog from the Stamp 'n Hop blog hop.  My name is Donna and I'm an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the UK.  Today the theme of the blog hop is 'Its All About the Males' and I don't make as many male cards as perhaps I should.  So I've made a card for a dad that's a little bit special

I've got a cardbase measuring 11½" x 4⅛" and this is in Thick Basic White.  I've scored on the long side at 5¾"

The Basic Black layer measures 5½" x 3⅞"

The designer series paper is from the Simply Elegant collection and this measures 5¼" x 3⅝"

Using the Scalloped Contour dies, I've die cut one of the scalloped labels in gold foil

The black card with the sentiment measures 3⅛" x 1⅞" and I've stamped with Versa Mark a sentiment from A Good Man stamp set.  I've covered the stamp with gold embossing powder and heated it up with a heat too.  I've stuck the black card onto the gold label

I've stuck the label onto the front of the card ready for a good man to receive it.
