A Dutch Door Card for a Pootles Blog Hop

Today I am blog hopping with the Pootles team and the theme for this blog hop is 'New Catalogue'. I've decided to make a Dutch Door card using designer series paper from the new mini catalogue that launched this week.

Start with a piece of thick Basic White cardstock measuring 10" x 7" and score on the long side at 5". Cut halfway down this score line (3½") and cut across the front of the card. Put the smaller rectangular piece to one side

Stick a piece of Mint Macaron card measuring 4⅞" x 3⅜" to the bottom front panel and stick a piece of designer series paper on top of that. I've used Country Floral Lane and this measures 4¾" x 3¼"

Stick a piece of Mint Macaron card inside the card - this measures 6¾" x 4¾"

Go back to the piece of card you removed from the main card. Stick this onto a piece of Mint Macaron card that measures 5⅛" x 3⅝"

Using the Country Bouquet punch, punch out the hearts from one of the sheets of Country Floral Lane

Stick the hearts to the card front with mini stampin' dimensionals. Stamp some flowers from the Brush Bouquet stamp set. I've stamped mine in Flirty Flamingo. I've also stamped 'Happy Birthday' from the Go To Greetings stamp set and I've stamped this in Evening Evergreen.

Glue the bottom half of the back of panel and stick this to the bottom of the card. It was at this point I decided to add some embellishments to my stamped flowers.

Finally using he Framed Occasions stamp set I've stamped 'Wishing You The Best Day Ever' sentiment to the inside of the card using Evening Evergreen ink

And that's finished!
