Saleabration Spring 2023 - Cheery Little Gift Bag Using Dandy Designs

I haven't done a 3D Thursday for ages but as I'm trying to kick start my crafty mojo, I thought I'd make something that I've made lots of times in lots of different designer series papers.

This bag comes from a design I saw on Kim Price's YouTube channel and its always been a favourite of mine.  Its really easy to make and you can make four from one sheet of designer series paper.

This is a perfect little bag for a small treat like sweets or chocolate to leave for a co-worker or a group of friends.

Start with a sheet of designer series paper measuring 6" x 6".  I'm using Dandy Designs which can be found in the Saleabration catalogue.

I like to use a non directional paper for this project

Make the following scores:

On one side of the paper score at 1⅜"

Turn 90∘ clockwise and score at 1⅜" to the first score line, at 2¾" from top to bottom, at 4⅛" to the first score line and at 5½" from top to bottom.

Cut up the score lines to the first horizontal score line and remove the tiny rectangle to the left of the four flaps

On the outside of your bag, run a strip of Tear n Tape on the half inch tab as close to the score line as possible

Bring the other side of the bag to meet the glued tab and form your bag

Fold three of the four flaps in at the bottom of your bag and place a couple of strips of Tear n Tape or glue of your choice to the last flap and fold this in to create the base.

Depending on the size of your ribbon, use an appropriate sized hole punch to create a hole at the top of the bag. 

Use the Heart Punch Pack to create two hearts I've used Calypso Coral and Basic White card.#.  You can  use any sentiment you like but I've used Happy Birthday from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and stamped this in Calypso Coral

Stick these together using mini stampin' dimensionals and stick the layered heart to the front of the bag using mini stampin' dimensionals

Finally loop a ribbon through the hole you made.
