Stamping with Washi Tape? You've got to be joking!

Scrappy Inked Botanicals Fun Fold Card

Hi everyone and thank you for returning to my blog or visiting it for the first time.  If this is the first time you've visited me, my name is Donna and I'm from Mid Wales in the UK.  I'm an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I love making cards and gift boxes from stamps, dies and designer series paper.

For today's Fun Fold Friday, I've made a card using strips of designer series paper from the Inked Botanicals pack.

I've started with three pieces of Basic Black cardstock measuring 6¾" x 2¼"

On two of the pieces of card, I started arranging strips of Inked Botanicals designer series paper in a diagonal pattern and sticking them down.

Here's what that looks like from the back

and these are trimmed down

So two of the black pieces of card will look like this.

My card base is made from Very Vanilla thick cardstock and measures 10" x 7" and this is scored on the longside at 2½", 3¾", 6¼" and 7½".  The outer score lines are turned into valley folds and the inner score lines are mountain folds.  This makes the centre panel pop up.

Stick the two decorated pieces of black cardstock to each of the outside panels

On the third piece of black cardstock, I've arranged half inch strips of the same paper horizontally and then stuck this to the centre panel of the card.

For the centre sentiment, I've got a piece of basic black 1⅝" x 4⅝" and a piece of Very Vanilla 1½" x 4½"
Using the Go to Greetings stamp set and Pretty Peacock ink, I've created a Happy Birthday sentiment for the front of my card

I stuck this to the front of the card using mini Stampin' dimensionals
