A Combined Card & Gift Box for 3D Thursday

Its 3D Thursday and I'm making a project that I've seen Rachel Tessman make on her blog recently. Its a card with a box. It isn't something you can send in the post but would make a lovely project at a dinner party and placed on a dinner table.

Start with a piece of Evening Evergreen card measuring 8¼" x 5¾" scored on the long side at 4⅛"

Take a post it note and trim it down to 2" x 2" and stick this 1" away from one edge of the closed

card

Draw round the post it note and cut out the square through both sides of the card

Punch out some hearts in Petal Pink, Evening Evergreen and Basic White - stamp a sentiment of your choice on the white heart

Layer them up as follows with mini stampin' dimensionals

Take a piece of designer series paper measuring 2" x 5⅝" and stick this to the bottom of the card before adding the layered heart.

For the lid, take a piece of Petal Pink card measuring 3" x 3" and score on each side at just under half an inch and make tabs out of the four corner pieces. Put some tear n tape on the outside of each tab and stick then to the sides of the lid

Take a piece of designer series paper 6" x 6" and score on each side at 2"

Just like the lid, create tabs out of the four corners, stick tear n tape to the score lines on the outside of the tabs and stick the inside of the sides to create a box

Don't forget to put your choccie in!

I stuck a bit of designer series paper and a bow on my box

.... and then slot the box into the card.

Obviously you can't put the card into the envelope but its still pretty nonetheless
